Siemens has signed a cooperation framework agreement with the Changshu National New & High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee and Suzhou Land Group today, aiming to build the first "advanced manufacturing + low-carbon park" two-in-one demonstration project together in China based on Siemens’ core technologies in the Changshu National New & High-tech Industrial Development Zone, which consists of a digital enabling center and a smart park IoT operation center. Through the project, the three sides will jointly promote the digital upgrading of enterprises, the high-quality agglomeration of digital industries and the sustainable development of industry-city integration in Changshu and the Yangtze River Delta region.

"Changshu is an important port-industrial city in the Yangtze River Delta region. With more than 30 industrial sectors, it is an important innovation base for intelligent manufacturing in Jiangsu province. The cooperation serves as a vital measure to promote the digital upgrade of the manufacturing industry in Changshu city and the Yangtze River Delta region, and rapidly achieve large-scale production, which is of great significance to the integration between the real economy and digital technology," said Yang Xiening, Vice President of Digital Industries and General Manager of Region East, Siemens Ltd., China. "The center will fully integrate Siemens' advanced digital technology and solutions to expand potential partners and customers in Suzhou and the Yangtze River Delta region, serve the digital transformation and upgrading of enterprises, and provide services such as R&D, scheme verification, incubation, training, and visits."

According to the agreement, Siemens will set up an office in Changshu and join hands with Broccoli Digital Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., a digital technology service company under Suzhou Land Group, to provide solutions covering both software and hardware with the advanced manufacturing digital enabling center as the carrier, including designing, manufacturing, and debugging digital demonstration production lines of discrete manufacturing that are in line with local industrial characteristics, and actively providing industry 4.0 and digital high-end training for local manufacturing talents while exporting professional digital talents to support the smooth operation of the enabling center. Through the introduction of brands, technology, and talent training, the two sides will help manufacturing enterprises achieve digital transformation, upgrading as well as sustainable development in a more targeted manner. Siemens will also continue to provide cutting-edge technologies and resources for the enabling center, and support the construction of platforms and innovative projects in line with the "14th Five-Year Plan" of the Yangtze River Delta region, including the digital pilot platform for biomedicine, industrial 5G demonstration application platform, and artificial intelligence and big data laboratories, to help Changshu form a new hub for agglomeration and development of digital industries.

Meanwhile, Siemens will also actively explore the construction of a domestic first-class smart low-carbon park benchmark together with Suzhou Land Group, leveraging the park as a carrier to help Suzhou formulate technical routes to achieve the goals to peak carbon emissions and reach carbon neutrality, and co-build the smart park IoT operation center in the Changshu National New & High-tech Industrial Development Zone's Collaborative Innovation Industrial Park demonstration project to further promote the deployment of digital industries in Changshu and lead the sustainable development of the regional advanced manufacturing industry and talent training in the long run.
