• Siemens helps Huaxing Glass build 15 digital lighthouse pilot factories
• Siemens’ first digital factory project in glass container industry globally, covering assessment, consultation, integration and optimization services

Siemens and Guangdong Huaxing Glass Co,. Ltd (Huaxing Glass) today signed a strategic framework agreement to jointly carry out digital transformation for 15 factories of the latter. This project is Siemens' first digital lighthouse pilot factory project worldwide in the glass container industry. Using the digtial factory from Huaxing Glass Foshan Headquarters as example, the two parties will jointly develop and build digital lighthouse pilot factory with values of further duplication and promotion. Leveraging Siemens' comprehensive solutions including accessment, consultation, integration and optimization services, the two companies will drive digital transformation, inter-connection and the building of manufacturing information system step by step for the furnaces and production lines of Huaxing Glass' 15 factories. This partnership aims to promote the digitalization level of Huaxing Glass, enhance the company's resilience to meet challenges and lay the foundation for its global market layout.

Since 2018, Siemens has begun to provide analysis on digitalization level to Huaxing Glass, covering 15 areas such as capacity planning, rapid and flexible production plans, efficient products and process data tracking, etc, and then tailored digitalization blueprint and implementation roadmap for Huaxing Glass. This agreement is a further deepening of the partnership between the two parties, moving from acessment and consultation to the implementation stage.
According to the agreement, Siemens will provide Huaxing Glass with products and services covering the entire life cycle ranging from engineering and implementation, production operation, to maintenance and digital factory application training. In particular, it involves Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, industrial network and network security, manufacturing execution system (MES) and product lifecycle management software and services. In addition, Siemens will help Huaxing Glass to establish a group-level intelligent decision-making system XHQ, a furnace simulation system, advanced production scheduling (APS) system, enterprise R&D management system and laboratory management system etc., to further enhance the integrity and seamless integration capabilities of the digital factory, laying a solid foundation for moving towards intelligent production.
Huaxing Glass is the largest glass container manufacturer in Asia with 15 production sites and 1 glass forming machinery company globally. It has an annual production capacity of 3.4 million tons.
