Industry Forum of Siemens 2020 opened online today under the theme “Digital Enterprise - Thinking Industry Further”. Siemens announced strategic partnerships with seven Chinese companies, including ShanXi Jinhui Group Co,. Ltd, Suzhou Ze Da Xing Bang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd and OMH SCIENCE Group Co., Ltd., to propel large-scale implementation of digital transformation in coal chemicals, pharmaceuticals and logistics industries with the support of Siemens Digital Enterprise Platform. Built on Siemens’ proven Digital Enterprise portfolio, the Digital Twin-enabled Digital Enterprise Platform has also integrated cutting technologies such as AI, industry cloud, edge computing, industrial 5G and additive manufacturing to improve production efficiency and flexibility, and lay the foundation for intelligent and autonomous production of the future.

“Siemens is committed to supporting Chinese companies to materialize the value of digital transformation with end-to-end solutions from assessment, consulting to implementation and optimization services. We are also taking the lead to integrate cutting-edge technologies into industrial scenarios. Together with our Chinese partners, we are well on the way toward the digital vision,” said Lothar Herrmann, President and CEO of Siemens Greater China in his keynote speech titled “Co-create a resilient digital future”.

For example, the world-leading auto parts manufacturer CITIC Dicastal Co., Ltd. (CITIC Dicastal) embarked on its journey of digital transformation as it started working with Siemens in 2010. From the digitalization of single machine to the delivery of entire digital factory, CITIC Dicastal leveraged Siemens’ advanced technologies to build digital twin and realize integration of enterprise value chains, allowing the manufacturer to constantly improve its competitiveness. Siemens also supported HBIS Group Co., Ltd. throughout its digital transformation process with cooperation in additive manufacturing strategy consulting, intelligent factory design, unattended intelligent stockyard construction, digital transformation of color coating assembly line, MindSphere application and many other aspects.

“Siemens Digital Enterprise Platform integrates the latest technologies and enables Chinese companies to stand out with better flexibility and productivity in the ever-changing market,” said Wang Haibin, Executive Vice President of Siemens Ltd., China and General Manager of Digital Industries, Siemens Greater China. “From lighthouse pilots to large-scale implementation, we’ve helped apply digital enterprise solutions for hundreds of local industrial enterprises. This is how we help China’s industry take the leap to the next level of digitalization.”

In the stamping workshop of Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd., Siemens’ AI technology is enabling predictive maintenance based on real-time analysis of equipment status data, especially vibration data. In Siemens’ digital factory in Chengdu, a visual inspection system combining AI and edge computing technologies guarantees the production of “zero defect” circuit boards, in the meantime reducing 70% of manual quality review costs. With the support of Siemens’ advanced technology and solutions, Xi'an Bright Laser Technologies Co., Ltd can provide metal additive manufacturing and remanufacturing technologies for nearly 700 users worldwide, ensure quality and safety in the molding process and keep equipment manageable and sustainable.

On the forum, Siemens announced the launch of its latest “digital native” CNC Sinumerik One in China. As the company’s key product targeting the digital transformation of machine tools, Sinumerik One features versatile software for the creation of digital twin, allowing seamless integration of virtual and physical worlds. Siemens also presented a web-based integrated system for industrial operator control and monitoring, which consists of Simatic WinCC Unified visualization software as well as the new generation of HMI panel - Simatic HMI Unified Comfort Panels. Siemens also added to its Digital Enterprise Platform the predictive maintenance system SiePA and COMOS PlantSight digital solution, to fully support the digital transformation of China’s industry.

The five-day Industry Forum of Siemens 2020 will bring together more than 100 industry heavyweights to present a digital feast to the audiences through business forums, experts talks, Digital Enterprise livestreaming, cutting-edge technology open classes and other innovative sessions.
