•  Joint establishment of the “Siemens Smart Campus Innovation Capability Center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, helping develop intelligent infrastructure and new infrastructure upgrading in the Greater Bay Area

•  A framework agreement signed between Siemens and FCS Industry to advance the construction of Hengqin German City Smart Campus

•  Siemens plans to set up Siemens Building Technologies (Tianjin) Ltd. Hengqin Branch in Hengqin New Area, further deepening cooperation with Hengqin and the Greater Bay Area

Siemens signed a cooperation agreement with Zhuhai Hengqin New Area Administrative Committee today, under which both parties would jointly build the “Siemens Smart Campus Innovation Capability Center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” and Siemens will establish the Siemens Building Technologies (Tianjin) Ltd. Hengqin Branch. This represented a key progress in the smart city field following the Framework Agreement on Further Deepening Cooperation signed between Siemens and Zhuhai municipal government in May 2018. The two would work together to develop intelligent building and IoT solutions for campus, helping the construction of smart campus and the delivery of new infrastructure upgrading in Hengqin and even the Greater Bay Area with digital and intelligent infrastructure technologies.

In addition, as the first cooperative demonstration project in the smart campus field between Siemens and Hengqin New Area, Siemens also signed a cooperation framework agreement with Zhuhai Hengqin FuChangSheng Industry DevelopmentCo., Ltd. (FCS Industry), under which the two companies would jointly deploy digital and building technologies to help Hengqin German City deliver intelligent development and refined management, building it into a Hengqin Smart Campus Demonstration and Benchmark Project and thus further driving forward the smart campus digitalization industry in the Greater Bay Area.

Under the agreement between Siemens and Hengqin New Area, Siemens will fully leverage its strengths and experience in integrated solutions for such key industries as data center, lifescience, petrochemical, commercial building, urban infrastructure and public building, proactively develop local integrated solutions for intelligent building and smart campus, and vigorously promote their implementation. Both parties will join forces to build the “Siemens Smart Campus Innovation Capability Center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, further integrate and optimize resources, and enhance the local R&D and innovation capability of the city cluster in the Greater Bay Area in building smart campus by deploying IoT equipment and developing intelligent building and campus solutions.

According to the agreement between Siemens and FCS Industry, Siemens will support Hengqin German City to develop and deploy digital platform and Management Cockpit for smart campus, present complete future application scenarios in such fields as smart energy, building, security and parking in the smart campus with advanced IoT and big data technologies, and display the operationconditions of the smart campus in real time and provide the managers with a management information center system that delivers “one-stop” decision supports. Moreover, with leading building technologies and solutions, Siemens will help Hengqin German City achieve efficient, smart and complete intelligent building and space management and create an industry benchmark in intelligent building operation.
