Siemens’ predictive maintenance system SiePA was honored the Red Dot Award 2020. As a successful attempt of applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in industrial scenarios, SiePA opens up new opportunities for deploying cutting-edge technologies in the industry field, and allows companies to deliver unprecedentedly efficient and safe operation. This innovative solution also entered the Super AI Leader (SAIL) TOP30 List at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2020.
SiePA is a Siemens predicative maintenance system for factories that is based on industrial big data analytics. Integrated with AI technology, SiePA can make the most of factory history data and its equipment operating condition prediction and warning module and intelligent screening and diagnosis module to not only timely predict failure risk in the operation process and give warnings, but also help companies efficiently diagnose failure causes and guide them to make maintenance/repair efforts, thus effectively controlling risk and delivering cost reduction and efficiency improvement benefits. In addition, SiePA can feed back related user processing and interaction information to the system, accumulating and encapsulating related industry experience for companies, and thus boosting their comprehensive competitiveness.

In its factory, SiePA has helped the customer establish a closed-loop mechanism from intelligent early warning to advanced diagnosis, so as to ensure reliable and safe production for the customer.
As one of the world’s three major design awards, Red Dot, created by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, is the internationally recognized top industrial design award.
