Siemens enters into cooperation with a number of Chinese companies, promoting digital transformation and upgrading

Siemens signed cooperation agreements with a number of Chinese enterprises including BAOWU Carbon Materials &Technology Co., Ltd. (BAOWU Carbon), Cancon Information Industry Co., Ltd (Cancon), Bochi Machine Tool Group Co., Ltd. (BOCHI) and Inner Mongolia Jiutai New Material Co., Ltd. (Jiutai) during Siemens Innovation Day China 2019. Joining hands together, Siemens is supporting customers to realize digital transition in the fields of electronic information technology, new material and machine tool. By fiscal 2018, Siemens has provided Digital Enterprise solutions to hundreds of Chinese companies covering dozens of industries, enabling the quality development of the Chinese industry.

In the field of new material, Siemens and BAOWU Carbon, world’s second largest tar processing enterprise signed a strategic cooperation agreement for intelligent manufacturing. Under the framework of the Strategic Partnership on Intelligent Manufacturing (Industry 4.0) between China Baowu and Siemens, both parties would cooperate deeply in smart manufacturing project, digital standard research and digital innovation along with smart manufacturing talents training. According to the agreement, Siemens would provide BAOWU Carbon with advanced control technology of process industry to achieve digital design and handover with the process flow digital design as the core and E&IC digital design as the base. Both parties would carry on the research based on the smart equipment inspection and maintenance of augmented reality (AR) technology and the cyber security of industrial network. Besides, the two companies would co-create digital innovation in areas such as edge computing, cloud technology service and explore topics such as digital management as well as development of new material process. 

Siemens and Jiutai signed a Strategic Partnership Memorandum of Understanding on the comprehensive collaboration in the construction of intelligent enterprise. Siemens would provide with digital consultation and planning services as well as relevant solutions to the construction of the practical implementation of the Ethylene Glycol Projects with annual output of one million tons. The project would be an ethylene glycol one with monomer processing units of the largest scale in China when it’s completed. Both parties will discuss strategic management, lean operation, talent management and training, financial leasing, new material R&D, and cutting-edge innovative technology of manufacturing. 

In the machine tool industry, Siemens signed a framework agreement with BOCHI and would provide with digital consulting and planning services for its whole value chain, and to comprehensively enhance its competitiveness in product research and development and manufacturing through digital transformation. Siemens would assist BOCHI in planning a clear implementation roadmap for the digital factory and setting up a value chain of comprehensive life circle from R&D to mass production, to improve process optimization, productivity and competitiveness. 

In electronic information technology, Siemens signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Cancon and would provide with digital consultation and planning services, products including industrial software, industrial automation, hardware and software of electrification, and corresponding solutions, to help build up an intelligent manufacturing plant with the capacity of one million servers that are secure, controllable and high-performance, a system for R&D, experiment and management of the world’s top level, and a team of professionals.
