Siemens exhibits at China Refrigeration 2019, supporting digitalization of China’s building industry

CR 2019, Shanghai New International Expo Center W5 Hall C01

Siemens today shows its digital portfolio for buildings at the 30th International Exhibition for Refrigeration, Air-conditioning, Heating and Ventilation, Frozen Food Processing, Packaging and Storage (China Refrigeration Exhibition 2019), under the theme “Creating perfect places with digitalization”. “We believe buildings should create added value for customers. An effective way of achieving this goal is the adoption of products that provide energy management and raise integrated efficiency as well as solutions that cover the entire life-cycle,” said Shao Kangwen, Vice President of Smart Infrastructure Regional Solutions and Services, Siemens Greater China, “Siemens, as the global leader in digitalization of building technology, has been paying close attention to user needs. Through continuous innovation of intelligent products, solutions and service, and the power of digitalization, we are aiming for reduced energy consumption while ensuring the comfort and safety of buildings, to create a perfect place for users.”

HVAC product application solution: accurate measurement and reliable control of building energy saving

Acvatix™ valves and actuators are key components of HVAC systems that developed by Siemens based on over 70 years of high-precision product manufacturing technology and experience. The product has the characteristics of economy and high efficiency. It can meet the needs of small to extra large HVAC systems and refrigeration applications. Its low-energy-consumption electric hydraulic technology can provide safety guarantee for users. Open Air damper actuator is the key-driving and regulating component of ventilation system. Building on years of experiences in product development and manufacturing, this product can meet the needs of a variety of ventilation system applications. Besides, brushless DC technology can simply achieve speed control, and self-positioning patent technology can provide safety and reliability.

Cloud-based universal controller: making indoor environment control simple and intelligent

This controller of Siemens is universal, easy-to-use, advanced and economical. The general communication interface greatly improves the flexibility of engineering design, commissioning and installation. Meanwhile it is compatible with a variety of input and output. Based on advanced network architecture technology, the controller provides users with visual programming tools and simulator commissioning without any hardware. Based on the cloud architecture programming and maintenance platform, online upgrade of the programming platform can be realized. The simulation commissioning of the whole device can be easily realized without the actual peripheral connection. In addition, the general controller also has the characteristics of universal building equipment.

Room sensor and thermostat series: focusing on the indoor environment and enjoying healthy life

To improve living quality and combat indoor air pollution of PM2.5 and PM10, Siemens exhibits PM2.5 fine dust sensors, which can be combined with the controls of CO2, VOC and temperature and humidity, to form a comprehensive solution for healthy indoor environment. It covers the function of PM2.5 control, CO2 concentration control, harmful gas emissions detection, temperature and humidity control, to help reduce the risk of lung disease and occurrence of colds and influenza. Room thermostat can cover heating, ventilation and refrigeration applications, providing a wide range of product lines to meet different user needs.

CLIMATIX™ HVAC digital control solution:  leading HVAC control to digitalization

CLIMATIX™ control platform provides control solution for HVAC OEM with the characteristics of programming freely, flexibility and extensibility. This product series is designed to meet the various needs of HVAC OEM, suitable for a wide range of application scenarios such as chillers, heat pumps, and air treatment units. In the extreme temperature environment of -40 degrees ~ 70 degrees, it can also operate stably. The control platform has a series of I/O expansion modules, a variety of standard communication interfaces, a remote service IC Cloud, and robust man-machine interfaces, which realizes a rich combination of products and applications. Moreover, leveraging digital technology, it pushes forward the digitalization of HVAC equipment.

Acvatix™ proportional integral solenoid control valve: widely used in testing Industry

The Acvatix™ series of electromagnetic control valves is based on more than 50 years of Siemens’ product manufacturing experience and is suitable for fast and accurate control applications. The patented electromagnetic control technology can meet the control requirements in two seconds, and the patented valve plate technology can realize the precision adjustment of water droplets. The above advantages make it suitable for engine test bench and evaporation/condenser factor test bench. Fast and accurate control of oil or water temperature loads is required in engine testing, and Siemens solenoid control valves have been successfully used in this demanding application for more than 30 years.

Siemens hydraulic balance application solution: simple and flexible design to offer higher comfortableness and saving of energy

The solution includes a flow setting device, a pressure difference control device, a pressure measuring device and an overall solution on the conveying side. The solution adjusts traffic to maximize energy efficiency based on winter and summer variation, transition season requirements, the facing of the rooms, and customization for users in different areas.

Siemens has been actively support the development of smart building in China, for example providing smart building solution for the biggest public passive house in Asia - the passive house technology center in Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark. The building saves 1.3 million kilowatt-hour energy per year, which equals RMB 500,000 energy spending annually, and 664 tons of carbon emission per year. In 2015, Siemens provided advanced smart building system for Shanghai Tower. The whole building’s energy consumption reduced by 5 percent to 10 percent after being put into use. Meanwhile, this project has been recognized by the Platinum Certification of LEED Green Building.
