Siemens participated in the China International Industry Fair 2020 (CIIF 2020) today with the theme “Digital Enterprise - Thinking Industry Further”. Siemens showcased its digital ecosystem and for the first time invited partners including Shanghai SIIC-Longchuang Smarter Energy Technology Co. Ltd., Shanghai Wellthinic Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd., Zhejiang TOPhicon Tech Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Rong Ke Technology Co. Ltd., Beijing Comfort Technologies Co. Ltd. and Zhejiang Huazhang Technology Co. Ltd. to jointly present comprehensive digital capabilities covering different industries at the Siemens booth. In addition, Siemens also showcased co-creation results and successful practices with industrial companies such as Luzhou Laojiao Co., Ltd. (Laojiao Co., Ltd.) and Guangdong Huaxing Glass Co., Ltd. (Huaxing Glass) at the booth, aiming to drive the implementation of digital transformation at a large scale for China’s industry. In addition, taking its digital factory in Chengdu, Siemens Electronics Works Chengdu (SEWC) as an example, Siemens displayed continuous innovation in the core elements of factory operations such as product quality, scheduling and delivery and production efficiency.

“The COVID-19 has accelerated a new round of transformation in the global industrial value chain. As an important ant part of the global supply chain, China’s manufacturing industry has shown strong resilience,” said Wang Haibin, Executive Vice President of Siemens Ltd., China and General Manager of Digital Industries, Siemens Greater China. “Siemens has been rooted in China’s industry for more than 100 years. Not only we have built a Digital Enterprise Platform that involves industrial software and hardware portfolio, cloud platform and cutting-edge technologies, we are also committed to creating a digital ecosystem covering the entire industry chain. With our comprehensive portfolio and practical capabilities, we hope to co-create value with more Chinese customers and partners to provide new impetus for the development of intelligence manufacturing in China.”

At the Fair, Siemens further demonstrated its end-to-end digital solutions ranging from assessment, consulting to implementation and optimization services. Based on solid technical expertise and industry experience, Siemens has planned a complete intelligence factory solution for Laojiao Co., Ltd., who is seeking a digital transformation in traditional industries. The solution covers areas including blueprint planning, architecture, roadmap, automated data integration standard, IT infrastructure, software, dispatch centers and smart parks, facilitating the company to clarify direction and lay the foundation of digital construction. Siemens Advanta also participated in the successful completion of the Laojiao Co., Ltd. supply chain dispatch centers and application planning management consulting project. The project spans over 5 years, involving more than 15 subsystems. Since 2018, Siemens has been provided comprehensive solutions including accessment, consultation, integration and optimization services to Huaxing Glass, the largest glass container manufacturer in Asia. The two companies will jointly build the Huaxing Glass Foshan Headquarters into a demonstration project, in order to drive digital transformation, inter-connection and the building of manufacturing information system step by step for the furnaces and production lines of Huaxing Glass’ 15 factories, building digital lighthouse pilot factories.

During the Fair, Siemens took its first overseas digital factory SEWC as an example to showcase how digital twin technology can create value for the company in terms of product quality, scheduling and delivery and production efficiency. Based on the Siemens Quality Management System, SEWC can collect quality data in real time and form visual reports, locate potential quality improvement points through intelligent data analysis and form a closed-loop quality management from R&D, production to customers, thereby improving product quality. Siemens Preactor APS can plan and prepare production resources in advance and automatically adjust and optimize production scheduling according to the needs of different scenarios. In response to urgent orders and production abnormalities, rapid response and adjustment are guaranteed so as to improve production efficiency. At the same time, Siemens fully demonstrated SEWC’s implementation of optimizing production line design through digital twin technology, virtual simulation before equipment entry, offline robot programming and continuous improvement of production efficiency in mixed-line production.

At this exhibition, Siemens Advanta, the company’s Internet of Things service business, also made its debut at CIIF, showcasing its digital services covering the whole process from strategic planning to project landing, and from R&D and production to operation and sales. In addition, Siemens’ next generation SIMOTICS HV C air-cooled also launched for the first time. This series of motors have the advantages of high power density, high energy efficiency, high starting performance, low noise, low vibration, high reliability, flexible installation and wiring and convenient use and maintenance. It can help industrial customers greatly improve efficiency and equipment utilization while reducing operating energy consumption, realizing the digitalization and intelligentization of production. Meanwhile, Siemens presented a completely new overall system for industrial operator control and monitoring - the web-based visualization system consists the Simatic WinCC Unified visualization software as well as the new generation of HMI panels, Simatic HMI Unified Comfort Panels. The new system can provide the users with a solution for HMI and SCADA applications and in the future also for Industrial Edge, Cloud and Augmented Reality scenarios. A comprehensive upgrading of Siemens intelligent power distribution solutions from the MindPower 2.0 intelligent power distribution management cloud platform to the locally deployed energy management software Powermanager V4.0 and various intelligent components such as PAC 1020/3120/3220 series measurement instrumentation create a more intelligent, more efficient and flexibly customized digital intelligent power distribution solution for users, realizing full coverage from hardware, edge computing software to cloud services.

During the fair, Siemens signed agreements with Da Huan Co., Ltd., Yancheng Electronic Equipment Factory Co., Ltd. and Wuzhong Instrument Co., Ltd., to further accelerate the application of the cutting-edge technology in industrial fields based on the Siemens’ AI-enabled predictive maintenance system SiePA. In addition, Siemens also signed a strategic cooperation agreements with Shanghai Shengpu Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Shanxi Newater Idea Environmental Protection Science and Technology Co., Ltd., and Joytek Smart System Hebei Co., Ltd. to further promote the digital upgrade of machinery manufacturing, water and pharmaceutical industries through Siemens’ advanced Digital Enterprise Platform.
