Siemens honored “Charity Driver Award 2019”

Siemens received the “Charity Driver Award 2019” at the 9th China Charity Festival. The award recognizes Siemens’ dedication to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and efforts of actively promoting social charity undertakings in the country. This is the fifth time in a row that Siemens is awarded at the China Charity Festival.

Over years, Siemens has been actively engaging in CSR activities in three areas: access to technology, access to education and sustaining communities. “Siemens is committed to empowering more and more people to benefit from our technology and knowledge through various CSR activities. This is one of the ways how we can create values for the society,” said Lothar Herrmann, President and CEO Siemens Greater China. “Siemens will continue to join hands with partners in support of social progress in China.”

The China Charity Festival, jointly founded by mass media in 2011, is the first festival officially named after “charity”. It aims to promote charity spirit, advocate charity undertakings and build a platform encouraging multi-party in-depth dialogue, communication and cooperation. Siemens was awarded “China Charity Festival – Collective Award” in 2015, and “Special Tribute Award” from 2016 to 2018.
